Food justice is an important part of community justice. We take donations from local businesses and use them to fight hunger. Help us connect with donors and with people in need.
We mobilize our teams of volunteers to make a real difference. Join us and see what can be accomplished when you get an impassioned team to focus on change.
Our community is full of people who want to help. We work to help the people providing services with the people who need them. Come connect with people in new ways.
When a family is in dire straights a helping hand can make a world of difference. United States Poverty Project gathers new or gently used shoes and clothes and gives it directly to the people who need it.
Working with other community programs and organizations United States Poverty Project offers emergency assistance to individuals and families who are experiencing a temporary financial crisis.
We work in the community to help change the paths of at risk youth. This includes indoor and outdoor activities, sports, music programs, workshops, educational opportunities and more.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic our children have been forced to stay at home. Parents had to consider education, social contact, and most importantly, food. "Is there anything for them to eat while I'm at work," was the question? This sudden and unplanned time away from school put a strain on many family's refrigerators.
When the food you buy doesn't last and you're out of money, who can you turn to? United States Poverty Project is committed to making sure children get enough to eat. Our Food is Life Program will feed children who are not getting proper nutrition and simply are not getting enough to eat.
We now offer online tutoring as a way of keeping kids safe during this Pandemic. We do this by pairing children with qualified tutors from grades 1-8. These are only for students who are failing their curriculum's because they have no one to help them.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we're only taking in-person clients on a case by case basis. Our tutors meet in libraries or bookstores and the children are usually chaperoned by a parent. Rigorous interviewing and vetting ensures they receive the best tutor. We tailor our lessons to the child's needs while we accommodate the parent's schedule.
